Dream So Happy Tutorial

Hello! Here is a clean and simple Vogue Vases 2 card I shared at the release party last week.

I started by cutting ivory card stock using Spellbinders™ Nestabilities® Classic Circles, then sponged Memento Bamboo Leaves ink while still in the die template.

I removed it from the die template, masked off the border and stamped the foliage image using Memento Peanut Brittle ink.

Then stamped the "Dream" sentiment using Memento Rich Cocoa.

I formed a 4 ¼ by 5 ½ inch card base from Pure Luxury Kraft card stock. I masked the bottom of the card base with sticky notes and stamped the branch image several times using Memento Desert Sand.

Stamped a few more times using Peanut Brittle.

To finish, I cut a few strips of card stock, using Pure Luxury Fresh Asparagus and Dark Chocolate and adhered at the edge of the masked area, then tucked my focal image under. The sentiment was stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa, then I added some score lines using my Scor-Buddy.

Thanks for dropping by. The GKD design team will be having inspiration blog hops next week, so stayed tuned for a lot of ideas using all the new stamp sets from the Gina K October release. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

  2. I have been making cards for several years, having recevied Annie's Attic Card Maker kits. I only colored the image. I love the way you color more than just the image. I have a lot to learn but this one is a good starting point because it seems to be pretty easy. Thank you for teaching us more than just the basic coloring.

    Blessings,
    Kat
