I stamped the sandpiper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic markers, starting with E15.
Added E53.
Added E31.
Added N1.
Added some extra shading with E57 and E19.
I used N5 on the legs and beak. After coloring, I heat embossed the bird with clear embossing powder.
Then I sponged Memento Summer Sky.
Sponged Memento Bamboo Leaves.
I added a mask to the top using sticky notes and sponged Memento Danube Blue.
I removed the mask and sponged a little more Danube Blue around the top edge for the sky and then stamped the grass several times, using Bamboo Leaves ink.
I added some shadows and ripples to the water using my C3 Copic marker.
Then added more with C5.
Stamped the sentiment directly on the background using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
I layered with Pure Luxury Black Onyx and Kraft card stock, and used a Baby Boy Blue card base.
Thanks for hopping along with us. I hope your day is fantastic!

You always do a superb job in colouring your images. How kind of you to provide a tutorial. I don't own any copics (due to expense), but appreciate the work you go to in order to allow us to view your beautiful work. This sandpiper card should be framed.
