Inspired Sunrise

Hello!  Today I have a card made with the tree from Fanciful Fall.

A few months ago I was in Barnes and Noble and this journal caught my eye. The tree looks similar to the one in Fanciful Fall. I snapped a photo with my phone and decided to try to recreate it as a card.

I started by sponging Memento Angel Pink ink on my background.

Then I cut a bunch of narrow triangle shapes with my paper trimmer. I used re-positionable tape to adhere them in a radiating pattern.

Here you can see how it looked after all the triangles were in place.

Then I sponged Memento Rose Bud ink starting at the edges and working my way to the center of the sunrise.

I removed the triangle masks and then sponged again, very lightly with Rose Bud, so the lighter tone would have some color variation, too.

Stamped the tree with Stazon Jet Black ink.

Stamped the grass, also from Fanciful Fall, with Rose Bud ink that I stamped off first on scratch paper to make it lighter.

Used torn sticky notes to mask the top, then sponged Memento Tuxedo ink.

Stamped the grass again, this time with Memento Tuxedo Black.

I layered with Pure Luxury Black Onyx and used a Passionate Pink card base. The sentiment is from Garden Silhouettes.

Thanks for stopping by. Hope your day is fabulous!

The card....well.....spot on! I'm going to put my notepad away (not really) and start photo snapping using my phone. LOL.
