A Butterfly Day

Happy Sunday! Here is my color challenge card for the new challenge posted at StampTV this past Friday. I used images from Warm With Love.

The colors this week are White, Wild Dandelion and In The Navy. One random winner will receive a free stamp set of their choice, from Gina K Designs. I hope you'll play along.

For the background, I cut Pure Luxury White cardstock, using rectangle Nestabilities. Then I sponged Memento Dandelion ink while still in the die.

I used sticky notes to mask the white border and stamped the fern using Memento Cantaloupe ink.

Stamped the grass and butterfly using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

I stamped the butterfly a second time on another piece of white and used Copics to color, starting with B26.

Added B24.

Added B21.

Then deepened the shading with B26. After coloring, I cut out the butterfly, trimming away the legs and antennae.

I adhered the cut out butterfly on top of the one in the background, using pop dots. The legs and antennae from the background butterfly appear to belong to the cut out version. I layered with Pure Luxury In The Navy and Wild Dandelion. The card base is White. The sentiment is from Hope Grows.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!
