Little Critter Tag

Good morning! Here is a tag and wrapping paper I made for a secret sister swap a little while back. I used Little Critters.

I started by sponging Memento Bamboo Leaves on the bottom.

Sponged Memento Cantaloupe in the middle.

Sponged Memento Angle Pink, from the top to meet with the yellow.

Then sponged Memento Rose Bud just along the top.

Next, I stamped the mushroom image, from Little Critters, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

I began my coloring with my R24 Copic marker around the mushroom top edges.

Added R22.

Then filled in with R02

On the stems and underside, I started with W3.

Filled in with E31.

Added shading with E35.

For the grass and leaf, I started with YG05.

Then shaded with G07.

For the shading on the ground, I used W3 and N5.

Added some white dots with my white gel pen. Then I layered the tag with Pure Luxury Tan Leather and Fresh Asparagus.

I had some plain white wrapping paper, so I stamped the fern randomly, using Memento Bamboo Leaves.

I stamped the sentiment, also from Little Critters, using Memento Tuxedo Black. I used a piece of gold cord to tie the tag to the bow on the package.

Thanks for dropping by. I hope you have a happy day!

  2. Wow!! Theresa, this is wonderful! Love your sponging technique and the image is coloured perfectly! The bow, tag and paper coordinate beautifully.. Well done!
I'd love to find some sponged applicators like yours. The only ones I can get here are the cheaper ones that slip over your finger and don't last very long.

  6. Yet another beautifully sponged and colored piece. I learn so much from your work! I'd like to add more sponged color to my work. You've probably answered this somewhere else so I'm sorry to ask again. Do you have a sponge dauber dedicated to each ink pad, or do you have one, for ewxample that you use with all blues, or all greens, etc.?
