Hello, Stampers! My card today is for the Copic Creations challenge this week to use complimentary colors. I used pink (flowers)/green (leaves) for my combination. The gorgeous images are from Melanie's latest set, Spring Basket.
I started by stamping the basked with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Then I colored with Copic markers, beginning with E19.
I added E15.
Then added E33.
Filled in with E53. After coloring, I cut out the image.
The flowers were also stamped with Tuxedo Black and colored with Copics. I started with RV19.
Then added RV25.
Filled in with RV21.
I colored the remainder of the flowers the same way and used Y13 for the centers. For the leaves I used YG07. After coloring I cut out the flowers.
Next, I used my Spellbinder's Labels 9 die to cut a piece of Pure Luxury White cardstock and sponged Memento Desert Sand ink while still in the die.
I adhered the basket and flowers to the labels layer and added the basket handle (colored the same way as the basket). The next layer was Pure Luxury Chocolate Brown, which I scored every 1/4 inch, using my Scor-Buddy. I added the ribbon bow, sentiment, brads and layered onto a Pure Luxury Innocent Pink card base.
Thanks for visiting. I hope you have a day worth smiling about!
This is beautiful. I love the color of the flowers. Thanks for the tutorial.
