Purple Triceratops

Hi all! Here is a card I made for our last release party and am just now getting around to sharing on my blog. I used the triceratops and tree from Dino-mite.

I used Copic markers to color the dinosaur, starting with V000. I filled in all the purple areas completely with V000.

Then I added some shading with V01.

Added more shading with V04.

And still more with V06.

I used Y21 on the horns, toes and those bumps (whatever their called. LOL)

Added N1 to the feet.

And used W3 to shade the feet. After coloring, I cut out the image.

For the tree, I started with YG21.

Added YG25.

Then added YG09.

For the tree trunk, I started with E59.

Then filled in with E35. After coloring, I cut out this image, too.

I sponged Memento Cantaloupe ink on a small piece of Pure Luxury White card stock.

Then I stamped the tree, using Tuxedo Black ink.

Using the bottom of the tree as my horizon line, I placed a sticky note to mask the top. Then I sponged Memento Desert Sand ink.

Sponged Memento Rich Cocoa.

Added some texture to the ground by making dots with a Memento Desert Sand marker.

Added more dots with a Memento Rich Cocoa marker.

I adhered the dinosaur and the colored in tree onto my background, using Pop Dots and layered with Pure Luxury Tan Leather. The card base is Pure Luxury Sweet Corn.
