Gina K Previews - Day 1

Happy Valentine's Day! I'm so excited today because it is time for the new Gina K Designs Preivews! Today we are previewing two fabulous new sets illustrated by the amazingly talented Melanie Muenchinger. Melanie has done it again, illustrating another gorgeous and versatile set that everyone will want, called Spring Basket. The set is full of Melanie's stunning flowers and a beautiful basket that you can customize in countless ways! Details for this card below.

Next up is a set that coordinates perfectly with the basket from Spring Basket, yet can also stand alone to make fabulous cards and projects. This one is called Basket Blessings. I used the bunnies and some cute eggs (part of another image in the set) to make a gable box.  I'll share the step by step and instructions on how to make this size box on my blog next week.

Ready for more inspiration? Check out what the rest of the team has created with these two beautiful sets...
To make my tulip basket card, I stamped the basket with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and began coloring with Copics, starting with E00 all over.

Added E53 almost all over, but leaving a small area lighter for a highlight.

Added shading with E33. After coloring, I cut out the image.

I stamped the tulips, with stems and petals. (Just a note: the tulips and all the flowers in the new Spring Basket set coordinate with, but are smaller than the flowers from A Year of Flowers) I started coloring the flowers with RV19.

Added RV25.

Filled in with RV21.

For the leaves and stems, I filled in with a light green (I think YG25) and added YG95 for shading. Sorry, lost a picture there. After coloring, I cut out all the flowers.

For the background I cut an oval, using Nestabilities and sponged  Memento Bamboo Leaves, while still in the die.

Then sponged Memento Danube Blue from the top.

I adhered the basket and flowers to the background using Pop Dots.

Added a shadow under the basket using C1 and C3 Copics, and added a pink bow.

Added some little grass tufts with YG25 Copic.

The sentiment is from Basket Blessings. I cut it out using oval Nestabilities and sponged with Memento Angel Pink ink. I layered with Pure Luxury Creme De Menthe and Bubblegum Pink and used a Passionate Pink card base.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to come back tomorrow for two more previews. Have a great day!
