I'm afraid all of my sponging photos came out blurry, but here are a few step by step photos from my project...
I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, then colored with Copics, starting with E59.
Added E57.
Filled in with E35.
For the heart leaves, I used R27. After coloring, I cut out the image.
For my background, I cut a mask from scratch paper, to mask off the sky, leaving a mound exposed in the foreground. I sponged that with Memento New Sprout and Bamboo Leaves. Then I removed the mask and sponged Memento Summer Sky for the sky. I adhered the tree using Pop Dots and added a shadow using my W3 Copic marker.
I layered with Pure Luxury Red Hot and used a Kraft card base. The sentiment layers were cut with oval Nestabilities. I added twine (thanks, Bren) and a button to embellish.
