I'm so excited that it is time for another Gina K Designs release! Today the design team is showing peeks of two new stamp sets that will be released this Thursday night, after the release party at StampTV.
First up today is a new set from Melanie Muenchinger, called Where Your Heart Is, and it is perfect for so many occasions when you want to let someone know you miss them or are thinking of them. Details about this card below...
Next is an adorable new set from Rupa Shevde, called Ready, Set, Snow! This set is filled with adorable animals, frolicking in a variety of winter activities. I just love all the punny sentiments to go along with the images. I'll share step by step photos for this card next week.
The rest of the design team has samples to show you today, too!

I stamped the hand image with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copics, starting with E35.
Added E33.
Added E53.
Filled in with E00. After coloring, I cut out the hands.
I cut a rectangle using Spellbinders Nestabilities, then sponged Memento Cantaloupe as an under color.
Then I sponged Memento Lady Bug over the Cantaloupe.
Then sponged Memento Rhubarb Stalk.
I stamped the Us sentiment in the middle of the rectangle.
I used my big scallop rectangle Nestabilities to cut a scallop border to place on the card base.
The sentiment I used originally said, "Your blank means everything to me." This is a clever sentiment that Melanie came up with. There are several words included in the set, that you can use in the blank, like letters, love, sacrafice, etc. I decided to leave the r in Your un-inked so the sentiment would read, "You mean everything to me."
To leave the r un-inked, I put a piece of tape over the r and then inked up the sentiment. Then I removed the tape and stamped the image. Another way would have been to ink up all but the r using a marker, or to clean the r after inking, but I find masking it before inking to be the quickest way for me.
I used Pure Luxury Cranberry Tart to layer the rectangle. I adhered the scallop border, then added the rectangle. The hands were adhered using Pop Dots. I used Nestabilities to cut our some little heart accents, one cut from Pure Luxury Cranberry Tart, and two from white, which I sponged a bit. .
Thanks for stopping by. I'll be back tomorrow with more preview samples, including one for my new set. Have a great day!
