Cool Tropical Sunset

Hiya! I meant to post this yesterday, but I was lazy. Just a simple sunset using images from Aloha, along with a sentiment from Gifts From The Sea.

I started by sponging Memento Angel Pink across the middle to establish where I wanted the horizon. 

Sponged around the edges with Memento Lulu Lavender. 

Sponged the edges of the bottom half with Memento Rose Bud. 

Sponged Memento Grape Jelly around the edges. 

Sponged Memento Danube Blue around the edges of the top half. 

Used sticky notes to mask off the top portion and sponged Memento Grape Jelly.

Removed the mask and stamped the island silhouette with Memento Tuxedo Black. 

Stamped the palm tree, also with Tuxedo Black. 

Used N1, N5 and N7 to shade the palm tree. 

Used R85, V06 and my white gel pen to add some ripples to the water. 

I stamped the sentiment and punched it out with my SU Word Window punch. The background was layered with Pure Luxury Black Onyx and the card base is Lovely Lavender.
