Anniversary On The Homestead

Happy Monday! I colored the barn from Farm Life again, this time going for a weathered look.

I started by filling in the barn with E31 Copic marker. It looks very streaky, since my E31 is pretty much empty. In fact part way through, I couldn't get it to color anymore at all, but I just put a few drops of blender solution on the tip and managed to eek out a bit more color. Time to put in another Copic order!

I added stripes of E35.

I used W3 over the entire area, smoothing out the previous color.

Added N3, again in stripes and splotches.

Then I added N5 to the deepest shadows, pulling it into the lighter areas in stripes.

On the roof, I filled in with W3.

Added shading with C5.

Extended the shading with C3.

For the trees and shrubs, I started by filling in with YG21.

Added dots and blobs with YR12.

Added more dots and blobs with YG95.

And YG99.

Then I filled in with YG91, smoothing out the colors.

I used E59 on the tree trunks.

Then I sponged with Memento Cantaloupe ink.

Sponged along the top with Memento Potter's Clay.

Sponged around all the edges with Memento Rich Cocoa.

Used E35 to add some shading to the foreground.

Blended out from there with E33.

Then added W1.

I used N1 and N3 to add some texture to the foreground, then used my blender pen to smooth it out a bit.

I layered the image with Pure Luxury Chocolate Brown and Grass Green and used a Kraft cardbase.

Thanks for visiting. I hope you have a great day!
