Tropical Blossoms

Happy Friday! I played along with another Moxie challenge with this card. This challenge was to make a classy & elegant card. Hopefully this qualifies.

I started by stamping three of the plumeria flowers, from Aloha, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I used Copics to color, starting with YR14 in the center.

Added Y17.

Filled in with Y000.

Then I used C3 to add shading along the edges of the petals. This was to make it look like the petals curve up, forming a slight bowl shape. I used the colorless blender to push in some highlights along the edges.

Then I used my white gel pen to really bring up the highlights. After coloring all three flowers, I cut them out.

Next, I used a flower stamp, from Hugs and Prayers, inking up just the swirly bottom with Versa Mark ink. I stamped, then heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

I sponged Memento Cantaloupe ink, keeping it darkest in the corner with the swirls.

Sponged Memento Potter's Clay.

I stamped a sentiment, from Hope Grows, and added my flowers using Pop Dots. I layered with Pure Luxury Sweet Mango cardstock and used an Ivory cardbase.

Thanks for popping by. I hope you have a great weekend!
