Just Hopping Along...

Happy Sunday! I'm having a lazy weekend and not accomplishing much of anything. I did take a bit of time last night to play along with the featured stamper challenge at SCS. I chose this card for my inspiration. Participants are to change at least two things. I kept with the frog theme and pretty much the same layout, but changed the colors, stamps and moved the sentiment.

I stamped the frog, from Hang in There, with Memento ink, then used Copic markers to color, starting with R27.

I added YR07, coloring over the red and extending past it a bit.

I added Y21.

Then I added YG03 and a bit more Y21.

Added YG07 for a little shading and YR000 (not pictured) to the belly.

For the leaves, I used G07 around the center vein and then filled in with G03.

For the stem, I started with E49 along the edges (not pictured), then added E35.

Filled in with E53.

I cut a circle with my Nestabilities, then sponged Memento Cantaloupe.

Stamped the grass from Hang in There, with Memento Bamboo.

I cut a larger rectangle and sponged with Memento Cantaloupe, then stamped the branch, from Hang in There, also with Cantaloupe.

I layered with Pure Luxury Chocolate Kiss, and Sweet Corn, and used a Fresh Asparagus card base. The stitched ribbon is from the current StampTV kit, Organize It!

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a great day!

  5. What a cure frog! I really like your designs. It looks simple but it is very eye-catching. The colors that you used are also very calm to the eyes.
