Cool Flutterings

Hello stampers! After the CAS card yesterday, I absolutely had to do a scene card today. I was happy with how it turned out, but the only problem is now I'm in the mood for a vacation! A tropical paradise sounds oh so relaxing.

To start my card, I cut a piece of Pure Luxury White cardstock and then sponged Memento Pear Tart ink.

Then I sponged Memento Bamboo Leaves.

Next, I sponged some Bahama Blue around the edges.

After I sponged the Bahama Blue, I thought it needed more, so I got it back out and apparently got ink on my fingers, hence the blue smudges. Boy, this kind of thing has been happening a lot lately! I think I need more sleep.

After shaking my head in disgust (nope, I didn't say any bad words this time) and sponging more blue, I stamped some foliage (from Picture It! part of the StampTV Kit). I stamped the image several times, re-inking with Tuxedo Black each time.

Next, I stamped the palm tree (also from Picture It!) several times with Memento Summer Sky and London Fog.

The moth/butterfly (also from Picture It!) was colored with Copics, starting with B26 where the wings meet the body.

Added BG07.

Added B04.

Filled in with BG02, leaving just a few highlights.

Used my blender pen to soften the hightlights.

Used N1 and N7 on the body, then cut out the image.

I layered with Pure Luxury Black Onyx and Ocean Mist, then used an In the Navy cardbase. There is piercing on either sided of the image, although it is hard to see. The ribbon was from Joann's.

Thanks for dropping in. Have stampalicious day!
