Gina K Preview - Heartily Yours

Hi! It's the fourth day of previews for the new Gina K Designs January release. Today, I am sharing a few peeks at Nina Brackett's newest stamp set, Heartily Yours. I love the fun whimsical images in this set, especially this cute little bug! I also used the new Pure Luxury Passionate Pink on this card.

In addition to the wonderful images and sentiments included in Heartily Yours, Nina also designed a complimentary set of sentiments that will really stretch this set out for all seasons and occasions. The sentiment on my card above is from Heartily Yours Additions.

The images in Heartily Yours are just perfect for making quick Valentines. I made these 3 by 3 note cards with minimal coloring and embellishing. You could make a bunch of these for your kids to pass out to friends in no time. I used Pure Luxury Rocket Red and Black Onyx for layering and added a simple ribbon trim using ribbon from the new Romance Ribbon Assortment.

For even more inspiration with our new stamp sets being previewed tonight, check out these GinaK Designers' links:

All the new stamp sets previewed this week, along with the new Pure Luxury colors, ribbons and buttons will be available starting at 10pm Central, Thursday, from Gina K Designs. And don't forget the release party Thursday from 7pm til 10pm. There will be contests, challenges and even more samples from the design team.

And now a bit about how I colored the car...

I stamped the image with Memento Rose Bud ink. As you can see, this is a bold image stamp, but I wanted to show you how you can really add dimension to your bold and solid image stamps, just by coloring them like line art.

After stamping, I used my R27 Copic marker to add some shading.

Blended out from there with RV29.

Added RV25.

Added RV23.

Then added RV21.

For the flames, I used Y21, Y23 and Y17.

Used N5, C3 and C1 for the hubcaps and exhaust.

Then I cut out the image and used my Tuxedo Black marker to add a tiny bit of shading in the image and used it along the edges where I cut it out.

I layered with Pure Luxury Black Onyx and White, then used a Passionate Pink card base. The sentiment was stamped and then I used a black gel pen to draw an accent line around the layers.

Thank you for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!
