Autumn Beauty Tip Sheet

The Leaves and tiny Sunflower

The leaves and mini sunflower can be used to make wonderful pattern paper if stamped in a random pattern. What a great way to coordinate your scrapbook pages.

Use them to create borders along the sides and bottom of your card.

Stamp them in a small cluster, then embossed, before stamping the wheelbarrow to fill it with leaves and/or sunflowers.

Use them to decorate your envelope, insides, of cards and the backs of cards.

The Mail Box

The mail box has a little space on the front that you could personalize with someone’s actual address, or you can with “U. S.” above where it says “mail” so it will look like some many of the mailboxes you see here in the U.S.

It would look great combined with the mountain scene from Happy Camper.

It fits beautifully in Nestabilities Oval die shapes for a layered look on your cards.

Use it for the following occasions…

New home, missing you, thinking of you, just to say hello, masculine, across the miles.

The flowers can be colored in muted fall colors, or bright spring colors depending on the occasion and season.

The Wheelbarrow and Pumpkins

I knew when I drew the wheelbarrow, that I wanted it to be filled with pumpkins for the season, but I also wanted to be able to put other things in it. So I made the pumpkins a separate stamp, but sized to fit perfectly inside the wheelbarrow if you cut along the front and side closest to you, using a craft knife. Then you can stamp and cut out the pumpkins and they slide right in.

You can use other images you may have to fill the wheelbarrow. Small flowers would be perfect for a spring card.

Stamp and mask the pumpkins two or three times to create a larger pumpkin patch.

The Scarecrow and Corn Stalks

Stamp the scarecrow, color and then emboss with clear, or mask, then stamp the cornstalks along side and behind him.

The cornstalks can be left together or cut apart (I cut mine apart)

Use the scarecrow with some of your Halloween stamps, like Spooky Silhouettes, for a spooky card.

The Swirly Branch

You can use this stamp to create borders around your layers.

Use it to make a vine going up the side of your card.

Color it with black to make it a silhouette.

Stamp it repeatedly in a light color to make a background paper.

The large Sunflowers

The sunflowers can be used together or separately.

Stamp them in a row to make a bouquet.

Ink up the flower only, leaving the stem un-inked for a different look.

Use the sunflower from A Year of Flowers, even more variety of sizes.

The Sentiments

The smallest sentiment, Autumn Blessings fits nicely in the SU Word Window punch.

The other sentiments work well in most of the Spellbinders tag punches.

Use “From Our Family to Your Family” for Christmas cards and almost any occasions.

Ink up just the word “Thanks” from the “Give Thanks” stamp to use on a thank you card.

  8. Great tip sheet! It always helps to have some ideas for each stamp in a set. I seem to not have ideas for all the stamps and so some go unused. Would like to see this done for each set. Many thanks and also for a chance to win this lovely set.
