Bundles of Thanks

Hello Happy Stampers! I was one of the lucky winners from the last Virtual Stamp Night at SCS, and received Bundles of Bouquets from My Favorite Things. MFT and all the member companies at SCS are always so generous in providing prizes for the many of the activities that take place on SCS.

I've received this set a few weeks ago and have been anxious to ink it up. I love those little butterflies! Here are the details...

Here are the Copic colors I used to color the flower and vase. I usede YR04 and R24 on the flower petals, YG05 on the leaves, and BG10 and C3 on the vase and water.

After coloring the image, I rubbed the surface of the cardstock with my embossing buddy to prevent static. Then I covered the entire image with Versa Mark ink from my Versa Mark pen. Then embossed with clear embossing powder.

I used rectangle Nestabilities to cut out the image and left it in the die so I could sponge some Bashful Blue ink around the edges, creating a nice white border.

I get asked quite often what I use to sponge with. Until very recently I used round craft sponges from Michaels and cut them into wedges. Recently I purchased some Jumbo Sponge Daubers from Gina K Designs and fell in love! I only bought three and imediately placed a second order for more. I don't clean mine, instead I dedicate each one to a specific color and just re-use it over and over.

As far as ink, I just use classic ink pads from Stampin' Up. These are the colors I started collecting when I first started stamping, so that is what I mostly use. I will probably start collecting either the Vivid or Memento from now on, though, for better compatability with my Copic markers.

To create the background panels, I used another set from MFT, Behind the Scenes. (BTW, I saw this set is on sale right now for $5.95 in the MFT Bubble Bin. That's a sweet deal!)

First I sponged the background with So Saffron ink and then I stamped the background twice with So Saffron ink.

For the other panel, I sponged with So Saffron and Apricot Appeal, then stamped the background image with Apricot Appeal.

I used layered all the panels with black and added a bow. The butterflies were colored with Copics.

Thanks for visiting. I hope you have a wonderful day!

The prize could not have gone to anyone who would make better use of it.
