Lavender Mist

Good morning. It is still morning over here on the west coast (just barely). I am having a lazy morning, but I am about to head off to my stamping room and work on my samples for the new Gina K release this week.

My card was made using Tropical Flowers. I sponged in the background and then stamped my images using the thumping technique. Then I added some highlights with my white Sakura gel pen. The sentiment is from Tag Lines.

And now here is a little preview for you. Melanie has outdone herself again. As I started trimming her new set the other day, I couldn't believe how few scraps there were. When I was done, I gathered them up and they all fit on this common tablespoon! Jeez, Melanie, couldn't you have fit just one more image on there? LOL. Sorry to be such a tease (well sort of, hehe!). Thank goodness I had my new Tim Holtz Tonic Scissors. I don't know how I ever lived without them.

Have a great day!

  1. Hi Theresa -

I just love this card. You've used my favorite color, lavender and have given me another idea on how to use the tropical flowers stamps. This is just so dreamy and elegant.

    Thanks

First of all I love your beautiful Lavendar Mist card. But the highlight of the post was the tablespoon of rubbah! I actually burst out laughing...not exactly the sneak peek we were looking for! :)

  8. Oh, Theresa... Love your card! The gel pen really pops-up the flowers! They look like they made out of velvet paper!

  9. Your card is beautiful Theresa. You always do such a beautiful job sponging. Are those scissors easier to use than Kai scissors? I fell not long ago and broke my right wrist in two places plus my thumb. I still don't have full use of my hand and need scissors that cut rubber easily. If they work better than the Kai scissors, I want to order them. Selma

  11. I must say you make some of the most beautiful cards! May I ask what is the thumping method? I also make cards...not as great as yours. I use Close to my Heart products.
