Gina K Preview Day1 Easter Blessings

It's day one of previews for the new Gina K release. Today I am showing you a card made with Rupa Shevde's newest stamp set called Easter Blessings. This is such a beautiful and elegant set of Easter images and sentiments.

I wanted to make a card with the elegance of gold and cream, but with a touch of spring. So I embossed all my images on ivory cardstock and added just a bit of Certainly Celery sponging and a Certainly Celery card base. Scroll down for some stamp by step photos, but be certain to check out what the rest of the team has to show you.

I've been anxious to try this new embossing powder I ordered. My old stuff wasn't nearly fine enough and was too glittery looking, but the Ranger superfine powder rocks for this detailed cross. I stamped the image with Versa Mark, then sprinkled the powder over the image, before heating with my heat gun.

I used my oval nestabilities die to cut the image out.

I really wanted to have some gold layers, but didn't have any metallic paper, so I used Metallic Rub on Paste to create some gold shimmer on my layers.

Cut out a total of four graduated sizes of ovals.

For the dove, I also embossed it with gold, but then I used my Stardust Glitter Pen to make it shimmer, then cut it out.

The sentiment is also embossed with gold.

Thanks for coming by and be sure to stop back tomorrow for a look at Asela's new set. I can't wait to show you!

Have a great day!
