I thought she did a really great job and I must say this is better than my first card by a long shot. The main image is from Stem Silhouettes (retired from Stampin' Up) and the butterfly is from Dreams du Jour (also from Stampin' Up). She pulled the DP out of my mom's stash and I am not sure what company it is from.
This is a birthday card my sister made me. She used A Year of Flowers and Botanical Dreams, both from Gina K and I think that sentiment is from Stampin' Up.
This is the card my mom made for me. The image is from Sassy Suzie by Stampin' Up. She added a little oval of card stock to look like a rug. I think it really helps to "ground" the image.
Aren't they all fabulous? Hehe, I love getting handmade cards.

ReplyDeleteFirst of all, is it your birthday? If so, Happy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteNext, you do not look old enough to BE 16, much less have a 16 year old daughter!
It looks like she is going to be as talented as her momma is!
Oh...you MUST have a Scor-Pal. Take it from your Missouri friend that it is something that you will use every single day from day one forward! My newest gadget is the DreamKutz - I'm in love!
Have a great Sunday!
The cards are all so nice! Your daughter did a fine job for her very first card. So... is it your birthday? If it is... Happy Birthday!!

ReplyDeleteTell your daughter her first card is beautiful. My 16 year old only makes cards when I make her participate in my kids classes. She made 2 scrapbooks when she was younger but now . . video games & facebook win out!!
ReplyDeleteWow, 3 generations of stampers!! How great is that?!! That is an amazing first card by your daughter. You certainly don't expect to see multiple layers, a cool sketch design, and a monochromatic color combo like that from a newbie!! Congrats, she inherited great genes!
