Giraffe Nouveau

It's Day 5 of Melanie's big blogaversary celebration! Today I am using a stamp from Just So Hippy. I love this image because it is Just So Cute! It is my favorite from that set to color and I finally got to use my Copics on it. Yay!

I made this card for two challenges. One was Gina's day 8 challenge to make a non-standard sized card and the other was the inspiration challenge at SCS yesterday. The inspiration site, Cake Nouveau, was possibly the coolest ever and was suggested by Jami (aka SGT Stamper). Have you ever been to her blog? It rocks! I chose this cake to use as inspiration for my card.

I colored the giraffe with Copics and sponged the background with Creamy Caramel. I used two different sized circle punches to create the circles like the ones on the cake.

    What do you use for your sponge? Your sponging always looks so perfect ... what am I doing wrong ... with the sponging anyway. The other things, well ...
