I made this card for my dad's birthday. He is off hunting, so I thought a card inspired by his desire to hunt harmless woodland animals might be appropriate.
I don't have any deer stamps so I had to draw one. I colored it in with Koh-i-noor pencils and blended with odorless mineral spirits. Then I cut it out and heat embossed it with matte clear embossing powder.
For the background I sponged Certainly Celery and Old Olive. Then I stamped trees from Lovely as a Tree with Old Olive ink, stamping off on scratch paper first.
The layers below that are Basic Black, Chocolate Chip and a Kiwi Kiss card base.
Happy World CardMaking Day! Check out the amazing celebration Gina K is having. Wow!

ReplyDeleteI am in total agreement -- lots of people with far less talent are doing their own sets these days. I would like to submit a link to this post to Gina K. Designs, Cornish Heritage Farms, and other likely places for them to see your art.
ReplyDeleteCornish Heritage Farms would be a natural for you!
