CardMaker and The Twinery Blog Hop with Video

Hello! Today I have a Christmas tag and video featuring twine from The Twinery. I made the tassels using Gold Shimmer Bakers Twine from The Twinery. You can watch the video below to see how I made the tassels.

The CardMaker Design Team is partnering up with The Twinery Design Team for a fun blog hop to inspire you! If you came from DoBea Alberts' blog, then you are on the right path. If not, hop on over to the CardMaker blog to start at the beginning of the hop.

A word about The Twinery's products...

Our twine is made from 100% cotton (and some of our twine is twisted with gorgeous metallic string!) and made in the USA. Whether you're gift wrapping, crafting or tying up baked goods to give to a friend, our baker's twine adds a fresh, yet nostalgic look to any project at hand! Our baker's twine comes in an assorted array of delicious colors and is uniquely twisted against a bright white hue, creating an eye-popping burst of color and a creative embellishment! Our twine has lots of color which lends to a fun, candy-striped look.

Be sure to stop by The Twinery blog to find out how you can will the twine colors shown above.

Here is that video I promised. If you prefer to watch directly at Youtube, click here to go to my channel.

Here is the complete blog hop list. I hope you enjoy the hop!

Snowman Joy Video and Tutorial

Hello everyone! I have another Christmas card to share with you. I used the Let if Snow and The Northwoods stamp sets on this card.

I made a video for this project. If you prefer to watch directly at Youtube, just click here.

Start by stamping the snowman image, from Let it Snow, onto white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

Begin coloring with Copic marker C5.

Switch to C3 and blend out.

Switch to C1 and continue to blend out into the center.

For the hat, start with R46.

Add R27.

Continue with R24.

Fill in with R22.

For the band on the hat, start with N7.

Add N5.

Fill in with N3.

Begin with B24 on the tie.

Then fill in with 22.

For the broom, start with Y23.

Then use E59 for the handle.

Add some shading with E35. After coloring, us scissors to cut out the image.

Trim white cardstock to 4 1/4 by 11 inches and score at 5 1/2 inches. This will be your card base, but don't fold and crease yet. Cut a curvy line in a sticky note and mask the bottom of the card base front. Sponge along the edge of the mask using Gina K Powder Blue ink.

Add a second mask, slightly above and first and sponge again with Powder Blue ink.

Stamp the smaller tree, from The Northwoods, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, but stamp off the image onto scratch paper first, to make it lighter.

Remove the top mask and then stamp the larger tree, once again, stamping off first to make the image lighter.

Remove the mask, then fold and crease the card base. Adhere the snowman image and stamp the sentiment using Powder Blue ink.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope your day is fab!

Winter Cardinal Video and Tutorial

Hello there! Today's card features my new set, Peace and Joy, Before I get to the details of my card, I want to tell you that I have a new post up on the CardMaker Magazine blog with Christmas tags made from scraps. You can find it here.

Here is the video I made to show you how to create this card. If you prefer to watch directly at Youtube, just click here

Trim white cardstock to 4 inches squares and stamp the cardinal image, from Peace and Joy, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

Begin color coloring with Spectrum Noir marker CR8.

Fill in the remaining open areas using CR10.

Add some shading with BG6.

Blend out from the previous color with BG4.

Use the same markers for the beak.

Use BG6 for the bird legs, along the center line of the leaves and along the bottom of the branch. Fill in the berries with CR11.

Fill in the branch with GB8.

Fill in the leaves with DG3, then use the blender pen to push in some highlights.

Stamp the cardinal image onto scrap paper and cut out with scissor. Use repositionalbe tape and adhere over the original image to mask.

Tear a sticky note and place over the corner of the cardstock, then sponge over the edge using Gina K Moonlit Fog ink.

Add a second mask on the right side and sponge again.

Reposition the second mask to higher on the cardstock and sponge again.

Reposition on more time and sponge again.

Remove the sticky notes and sponge around the edges of the cardstock.

Remove the bird mask.

Stamp the Joy and 'Tis the Season sentiments, also from Peace and Joy, using Gina K Black Onyx ink.

Add some decorative scoring to the lower left and upper right corners of the cardsotck, then adhere to a piece of black cardstock, trimmed slightly larger than the image layer. Adhere both to a 5 inch square Moonlit Fog card base.

Thank you for stopping by. I hope your day is wonderful!!
