Cowboy Dad Card Tutorial and Video

Hello everyone! Here is the other card I wanted to show you using Out West 2. This is another that I created for the release party last week, so you may have seen it if you were at the party. I made a video and step out photos for this one.

Here is a video I made showing you how to create this card. If you prefer to watch directly at Youtube, click here.

Trim a piece of ivory cardstock to 3 by 5 inches and begin sponging Gina K Sweet Corn ink in the center.

Sponge Gina K Sweet Mango along the bottom of the previous color.

Tear sticky notes and place over the top of the cardstock to serve as a mask. Then sponge Gina K Warm Cocoa ink.

Use more sticky notes, this time with the straight edge, and place slightly lower than the first mask. Sponge more Warm Cocoa ink.

Remove the masks and stamp the cactus image using Gina K Fresh Asparagus ink. Then color in the image using Copic marker YG93.

Stamp the cowboy image using Gina K Black Onyx.

Use a W5 Copic marker to add a shadow to the horse and cactus.

Extend the shadows a bit with Copic marker W1.

Place the barbed wire image on your acrylic block, shaping it into a curve, then stamp with Gina K Black ink. Either rotate the image or reposition it on the block and stamp a second time, so the wire has a different curve.

Stamp the post using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and use E33, E57 and E59 to color.

Stamp the sentiment and adhere to a 5 ½ by 4 ¼ inch card base.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope your day is wonderful!

Desert Sun Card Making Tutorial and Video

Hi there! I've got another Out West 2 card to share with you. If you were at the last Gina K release party, you may have seen it, but now I have step photos and a video to go along with it.

The Gina K Inspiration blog hops are this week. You can see ideas and sampled from the design team featuring all the new release stamp sets. Melanie's new Lots of Letters 2 is the focus of today's hop. Head over to her blog to join in on the fun.

Here is the video. If you prefer to watch directly at Youtube just click here

I stamped the large cactus, from Out West 2, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Then I began coloring with Copic marker YG97.

Added YG95.

Then filled in with YG93. After coloring, I cut out the image.

Next I cut and embossed ivory cardstock with Spellbinders™ A2 Matting Basics A die template and sponged Gina K Sweet Corn ink, with the cardstock still in the die template.

Next I cut a circle from a sticky note, with Classic Circles SM and used as a mask for the sun. With the mask in place. I sponged more Sweet Corn ink.

Sponged Gina K Sweet Mango.

Next I tore the edge of a sticky note to use as a mask for the horizon and sponged lightly with Gina K Faded Brick.

Here I have another torn sticky note, positioned slightly below the first and then I sponged Gina K Warm Cocoa.

I repositioned the last sticky note and sponged Warm Cocoa again.

I removed the masks and sponged around the bottom and edges with more Warm Cocoa.

Then sponged lightly along the bottom edge with Gina K Black Onyx.

I removed the die cut from the die template and stamped the small grove of cactus using Memento Tuxedo Black. Then I colored in the cactus with W5. I added shadow in front of the cactus with W5 and W3.

Stamped the large cactus on the background.

Then I adhered the cut out image over the newly stamped one.

I used another A2 Matting Basics A die template to emboss a frame in my 4 ¼ by 5 ½ inchHoney Mustard card base, then adhered the die cut to it.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful day!
