Gina K Inspiration Blog Hop Day 3

Hey there stampers! The Gina K Design Team are blog hopping and sharing samples created using the new release stamp sets, now available at Gina K Designs. Today we are showcasing Debbie Corbari's new Darling Divas, Beth Silaika's new Lots of Dots and the new Free With Three set, Petite Borders.

I used Debbie's new Day At The Park Mini Diva set on my first card. I always love these adorable mini sets. More about this card below…

Next I have a card with Beth's Lots of Dots stamp set. As you may have noticed, I'm having a lot of fun with all these dots! There are just so many things you can do with them. For this card, I stamped the images with VersaMark ink, then heat embossed with clear embossing powder to resist ink. Then I sponged Memento Cantaloupe, Tangelo and Potter's Clay inks. The sentiment is from Tami's new All Occasion Tags 2.

For my final card, I used the new Free With Three set, Petite Borders. I heat embossed the border on this card, too, then sponged Memento Rich Cocoa ink. A simple sentiment, also from All Occasion Tags 2, stamped in Memento Espresso Truffle along with a bow and some bling, finish the card. This was a super fast card to make!

As you hop through their blogs, make sure to leave a comment for each designer because we will choose a few random comments and those stampers will each win a grab bag of Gina K. Designs products! To see the full list of winners check the Big News forum at Stamp TV a few days after the hops.

Now let's hop...

To make the first card, I started by cutting and embossing white card stock with Spellbinders™A2 Matting Basics A, then sponged Gina K Fresh Asparagus ink while still in the die template.

Then I sponged Gina K Powder Blue ink.

I stamped clouds on a white card stock scrap and shaded with C3 Copic marker. After coloring, I cut out the images.

Then I stamped the kite on scrap paper, using Copic markers R24, YR07, Y17, YG25, B24 and BV13. After coloring, I cut out the kite, too, leaving the string behind. I like to fussy cut, but I try not to be fanatical about it.

Next, I stamped the kite on the background, so it would have the string dangling.

I adhered the clouds to the back ground, placing one over the kite image, so they would overlap just a bit. Then I adhered the kite. The sentiment was cut out with a Spellbinders Classic Oval, then sponged the same way as the background. For the card base (4 ¼ by 5 ½) I used Pure Luxury Base Weight White and embossed a frame using a larger die from A2 Matting Basics.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful day!
