Hello! The Gina K Designs illustrators are hopping today to share some fun ways to combine the new release stamp sets. Hope you will join us as we Mix and Match! I combined my new set, Birds and Blossoms, with Tami Mayberry's new Simple Hearts set. They are totally different styles, but I love the pairing of the nature images with the graphic background I made using Simple Hearts.

I stamped the bird on a post image using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I didn't worry about getting the complete image stamped because I only intended to use the bird on my card. I challenged myself to only use three Copic markers to color the bird this time. I started with B24.
Then I went over the blue areas with my blender pen, letting the blue bleed into the white areas.
I added YR65 to the belly.
Then used my blender pen to push in some highlights.
I used B24 again, to deepen the shading.
Then just a bit more shading with C3. After coloring, I cut out the bird.
Next I cut and embossed Pure Luxury White card stock, using Spellbinders new A2 Curved Matting Basics B, then sponged Gina K Powder Blue ink.
Sponged very lightly with Memento Tuxedo Black just along the bottom.
Stamped one of the silhouette branches with Memento Tuxedo Black.
Then stamped the second branch.
I stamped the branch a few more times, this time using Gina K Powder Blue, to create some background foliage.
My card base is Pure Luxury Powder Blue. I scored my fold line with my Scor-Buddy, then masked off one side using sticky notes. Then I stamped the circles, from Simple Hearts, using Gina K Powder Blue and Ocean Mist inks.
For the sentiment layer, I cut a circle with Spellbinders Classic Circles SM, then sponged Gina K Powder Blue ink around the edges. After removing from the die template, I stamped the sentiment.
I layered with a piece of Pure Luxury Black Onyx, adhered the bird and sentiment layers, then added a few Color Companions buttons to accent.
Thanks for visiting. I hope you have a fabulous day!
So, so pretty. I really like the black sponging for contrast.

Are you feeling that it's time to get gaming? Do you have snacks, friends and a new game at the ready? Have you connected to your worthy opponents online? Stop now! Read the following article first so you can learn how to get all you can from your gaming experience.
ReplyDeleteTake a few breaks when you start playing a game that you're not able to step away from easily. Computer Games are addicting and can damage your overall health. Playing a game should remain fun and light-hearted. Think you're addicted? Seek help.
Cheat codes can be valuable if you cannot get past a certain point in the game. There's a good chance that someone has been stuck at exactly the same point, and many people have probably shared online how they got past it.
Before you allow your children to play a online game, ensure you know its rating. Some games have violent content and are meant for people that are over 18. Violence can give your children the wrong values, which may show later in life. Try to refrain from video games that promote violence for your children's sake.
When you save your game, do more than just saving it on the same slot. Every now and then, save it in another one. You may find in the future that you would like to resume your game from a different point. However, you will be unable to do so if your games have all been saved in a single place.
Before allowing your child to use a console online, be sure that you have set it to "family friendly" options. This will filter out inappropriate content so your child will not be exposed to it. You can also determine how much they can chat with others while online.
You can go to sleep when you are dead! This common myth is believed by gamers and is also propagated by online websites which claim to provide good gaming ideas . Completely false! A person needs a full 8 hours to keep their body healthy.
Sequels don't always suck. Game sequels are usually better than the original games. To get some background material about the story, just read the box. As well, you can find intelligence about the initial game by reading the reviews about it online.
If your child gets a game as a gift or if you are buying a gift, make sure to verify its ESRB rating. These ratings are designed to help you assess whether the game is appropriate for the players it is being bought for. This should be a definite consideration before making the purchase.
Try playing video games as a way to bond with your children. Gaming together is a fun and inexpensive way to get in some family time. It can also allow you to ensure that your kids aren't playing inappropriate games.
Figure out how to operate the safety and parental controls of any gaming system that comes into your home. You can likely make adjustments that keep kids from viewing mature content. Some allow each gaming profile to be customized separately, allowing adults to enjoy games not meant for younger audiences.
Not every online game out there is worth playing. The main thing you need to understand in order to enjoy your gaming experience is which games are shovelware or otherwise bad games. Apply the suggestions from this helpful article and you will be on your way to enjoying your gaming experience to the fullest.
This is so very lovely Theresa. I would love to see a sample using the silhouette bird. Hope you can include one in the near future. Love all your ideas!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous bluebird! Your cards are always amazing.
