Stately Sunflower Tutorial

Hello and Happy Friday! I am finally getting around to uploading this card I shared earlier this week. I used the sunflower from Stately Flowers 5.

For the center of the flower, I used Copic markers YR14 and E59.

 Then added R08.

 Added R05.

Added Y17.

 Then filled in with Y000.

 For the stem/leaves, I used YG97.

 Added YG03.

Then filled in with YG91. After coloring, I cut out the image.

I cut a piece of Pure Luxury Ivory card stock using Spellbinders™ Nestabilities® Labels Eighteen, then sponged Memento Peanut Brittle ink.

I used Spellbinders Matting Basics A to create a frame. I nested two of the die template on my car stock, then held them in place with painters tape.

The 4 ¼ by 5 ½ inch card base was formed using Pure Luxury Sandy Beach card stock. I adhered the frame to the card base, then popped up the Labels Eighteen layer. I added some gorgeous Zva Bling, then used more Pop Dots to adhere the flower. The Vogue Vases 2 sentiment was stamped on ivory card stock and sponged around the edges lightly with Peanut Brittle ink.

Thank you for visiting. Sending thoughts and prayers to everyone dealing with the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.  I am floored by all the devastation and loss of life and hope the recovery is smooth and swift.

Your collection of Stately Flowers is just wonderful!! I love how they're the perfect size for a card, and perfect for any occasion. My goal is to get them all made up into cards. The hard part is choosing which one you'll use for your next project. They are are so beautiful!!
