I cut out a background using white card stock, with my Spellbinders™ Nestabilities® A2 Matting Basics B. Then I sponged with Memento Danube Blue, while still in the die template.
Then I sponged with Memento Paris Dusk and Elderberry, to darken around the edges. After sponging, I removed from the die template and stamped the tree with Versa Mark ink, sprinkled white embossing powder and heat embossed. The sentiment was stamped on white card stock, trimmed, and then the corners on two sides rounded with a corner rounder punch. I layered with Pure Luxury In the Navy and used a Little Boy Blue card base (4 ¼ by 5 ½).
I really like the luminous look of sponging, but this card could be recreated much more quickly by simply heat embossing the tree in white on a Piece of In The Navy Pure Luxury card stock, then assembled very quickly.
Next up is Melanie Muenchinger's awesome new set, Beyond Baskets. This is such a wonderful addition to her Baskets series of stamp sets. All of the basket additions will work with these new images and expand the possibilities. I love that the images are bold and detailed and work so beautifully, both colored and paper pieced!

I stamped the half barrel with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and began coloring with Copics, starting with E31.
Added E57.
Added E29.
For the metal band, I used N5.
Then shaded with N7. After coloring, I cut out the image.
Using sunflowers, from Holiday Baskets, I stamped with Tuxedo Black, the began coloring with Y17, using my blender pen to soften the coloring a bit.
Added YR68.
Then added E59 to the centers.
Then filled in with Y17 in the centers.
For the leaves, I started with YG97.
Then filled in with YR03. I colored a second of the same image and cut them out, to layer with the barrel.
For the background, I used white card stock and sponged with Memento Cantaloupe ink.
Sponged with Memento Potter's Clay.
Then sponged with Memento Rich Cocoa.
I embossed the sponged layer with Spellbinders Lovely Lattice M-Bossabilities™ folder, then layered with Pure Luxury Dark Chocolate. The barrel of flowers was adhered with Pop Dots. The card base is Pure Luxury Sandy Beach (4 ¼ by 5 ½ inches).
Thanks for visiting. I hope you have a wonderful day!
