Giraffes at Sunset Tutorial

Hello there! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I took last week off from blogging so I could focus on finishing up a few projects, but I managed to sneak off to my stamp room last night to make this card.

The Pure Luxury White card stock is cut to 3 ½ by 5 inches. I used a small sponge dauber to add a touch of Memento Dandelion ink where I knew I wanted the sun.

Then I cut a small circle using Spellbinders™ Circle Nestabilities® from a sticky note to mask the sun. Then I sponged lightly with Memento Cantaloupe ink.

Sponged Memento Angel Pink.

Sponged lightly with Memento Rose Bud.

Sponged with Memento Lady Bug.

Sponged Memento Rhubarb Stalk.

Then, from the top, I sponged Memento Summer Sky.

Then lightly with Memento Gray Flannel, just along the very top.

I stamped the trees, from Life is Good, with Memento London Fog, stamping a second time before re-inking and stamping again.

Stamped the tree, from Wild About You, also with London Fog.

I used sticky notes to mask all but the bottom edge, then sponged Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

I removed the mask and used the sponge dauber, without re-inking it, to sponged lightly in the corners.

Then I used Stazon Jet Black ink to stamp the giraffes.

I layered with a piece of Pure Luxury Black Onyx and used Moonlit Fog for the card base (5 ½ by 4 ¼ inches). The sentiment was stamped in the upper left corner. I cut white card stock, using Spellbinders Scalloped Labels One and sponged with Memento London Fog and used it to just peek out from under the scene layer. Then I added a single score line along the bottom, using my Scor-Buddy.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a great day!
