Hello! I hope you all had a happy weekend. I have another Tropical Nature card to share with you today. I used the waterfall image on this one.
To begin, I stamped the waterfall with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
Then I used the largest of Spellbinders™ Nestabilities® Classic Circles SM die templates to cut out the waterfall.
I began coloring with my C3 and BV11 Copic markers in the water.
Then added B41.
Next, I used YG03 for the foliage.
Added YG95.
Then added YG93 around the outer parts of the image, using my blender pen to soften the edges.
I sponged around the edges of the oval with Memento Cantaloupe ink and using my Jumbo Sponge Dauber.
Then sponged a bit of Memento Tangelo.
Finally I noticed I had forgotten to color the tree trunks, so I pulled out E59 to color those.
For the philodendron leaves, I began coloring with YG03, leaving a highlighted area uncolored. Then I followed with my blender pen to let some of the color bleed into the highlights.
Then added YG97.
Used YG95 to blend the dark section into the light. I colored five leaves total, then cut them out.
I created a 4 ¼ by 5 ½ inch card base using Pure Luxury Sweet Corn card stock, then stamped a palm frond several times using Memento Cantaloupe ink.
I decided to add some small dots of red, using Memento Marker Lady Bug, to the foreground around the waterfall, to look like small flowers.
I stamped the image and cut it out with another Spellbinders Oval, then sponged Memento Cantaloupe ink, then used Pop Dots to adhered my layers. The decorative scoring was done with my Scor-Buddy.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful start to your week!

ReplyDeleteJust been catching up, looking at all the lovely cards on my blog, which I haven't looked at for some weeks as I have been ill. All your cards stood out whilst I was flipping through quickly to see what I had missed. You are a very talented lady and must give lots of people inspiration with your work.
Just the tonic I needed, will be looking at each one in depth to see how you have got the lovely results.
Bye
