Sea You Tutorial

Hello and happy Friday to you all! Here is a card using my new set, Under The Sea.

I stamped the large sea turtle with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics, starting with E31.

I added E35 in the scutes, coloring more deeply around the edges.

Then I used YG91 to blend.

I wanted just a bit more green to show, so I added YG03 to the scutes. After coloring, I cut out the turtle.

Next, I stamped the seaweed and began coloring with YG93.

Added YG03 to make the seaweed a little brighter, then used YG95 to shade.

I used Spellbinders™ Nestabilities® Labels Eighteen to cut Pure Luxury White, then sponged Memento Pistachio while still in the die template.

Then sponged Memento Bahama Blue.

Sponged Memento Danube Blue just around the edges of the blue side.

Then sponged Memento Espresso Truffle around the edges of the green part.

Next, I removed the die template and stamped the silhouette seaweed using Memento Bamboo Leaves.  I used sticky notes to mask off the frame created with the Nestabilities die template.

I also stamped the silhouette fish using Memento Pistachio ink, stamping a second time before re-inking.

The card base is Pure Luxury Ocean Mist, 5 ½ by 4 ¼ inches. I cut a piece of Pure Luxury White slightly smaller than the card base and embossed with Spellbinders  M-Bossabilities™Sea Beauty, side A. After embossing, I sponged lightly with Memento Pistachio ink. I stamped the sentiment on white and cut it out by hand. The turtle and seaweed were popped up on the Labels shape with Pop Dots and the entire assembly was adhered to the background also with Pop Dots.

Thanks for visiting. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
