Double Take Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to a Double Take Blog Hop! The Gina K Design Team were challenged to make two different projects using the same stamps and supplies. The images for both cards are from Heartfelt. If you came from Tina's blog, you're at the right place. If not make sure to head over to StampTV where you will find a list of all those participating in today's hop. From here, head on over to Sharon's blog to see what she's sharing with you today!

This was the first card I came up with.

And here is the second. I like this one better. I used all the same supplies, just in a different arrangement and portions. The top card did have some twine on the bottom, but this card didn't have room for twine, so I pulled it off the other to follow the challenge.

I stamped the pumpkins, from Heartfelt, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and used Copics to color, starting with YR07.

Added YR04.

Added Y17.

Added YR12 and used my blender pen on the highlights.

I used N3 to add a bit of shading and for the stems I used YG93 & YG95.

Both backgrounds were sponged the same way, but the background on the second card is a bit more intense so I'll show you that one. I started by sponging Memento Cantaloupe ink using my Jumbo Sponge Dauber

Then sponged Memento Potter's Clay, on the bottom only.

I stamped the wheat several times, also using Potter's Clay, but I stamped off on scratch paper first to make the image lighter.

I cut out the pumpkins and adhered them to the background using Pop Dots. I added the sentiment and brads and layered with Pure Luxury Pumpkin Spice & Chocolate Brown. I also added a torn strip of vellum. The card base is Pure Luxury Tan Leather.

One the first card, I scored lines, using my Scor-Buddy, before sponging the backgorund. I layered with Pure Luxury Chocolate Brown and Tan Leather. The card base is Pumpkin Spice. The sentiment is stamped on vellum and adhered with three brads. I also added score lines to the base using my Scor-Buddy.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you enjoy the hop and have a great day!
