Live in the Sunshine

Hello, happy stampers! I hope you all had a great weekend.  We went on a hike and did a little kayaking and had a really nice time. I forgot to mention on our hike to Feather Falls last weekend, I saw my first rattlesnake in the wild. That was creepy. Some other hikers disturbed him and he coiled and rattled. All of a sudden the whole area was filled with such a loud rattling sound. I couldn't believe how loud they are. You can bet I kept my distance.

My card today was made using images from By The Sea. I started by sponging my background with Memento Cantaloupe ink.

Then sponged Memento Tangelo ink.

Sponged Memento Angel Pink.

 Sponged Memento Lulu Lavender.

Sponged Memento Danube Blue.

Sponged Memento Paris Dusk ink.

I added some clouds using my N3, N1 and R81 Copic markers.

To add some highlights to the clouds, I added some white get pen and smeared it with my finger.

Next, I stamped a lighthouse, from By The Sea, with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Then I colored in the rocks with W3.

Added E15.

 Then filled in with R02.

I used BV11 and RV21 to add some ripples and shadows to the water.

I stamped the lighthouse again, on a scrap of Pure Luxury White paper and used Copics to color, starting with Y11 and Y17.

Added E35.

Used E19 on the roof.

Filled in with E31.

Added N1 to shade the sides.

Added N3.

Then added N5.

After coloring, I cut out the lighthouse and adhered it to my background with Pop Dots.

I stamped the sentiment, also from By The Sea and layered with Pure Luxury Black Onyx. The card base is Baby Boy Blue.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a fabulous day!
