I started by stamping the heron with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored with Copics, starting with C5.
Added C3.
Filled in most of the area with C1 and used my blender pen to transition into the highlights.
Used Y13 on the eye and YR12 for the beak and legs.
After coloring, I filled in the image with Versa Mark ink, using my Versa Mark pen. Then I heat embossed with clear embossing powder. The clear powder sticks to the Versa Mark ink. I used a heat gun to melt the embossing powder.
Next, I sponged Memento Desert Sand ink, using a Jumbo Sponge Dauber. The clear embossing resists the ink, allowing the image to remain as originally colored.
I masked the bottom of the scene with a sticky note and then sponged Memento Rich Cocoa.
Then sponged Memento Potter's Clay.
I rotated the sticky note to cover the top, and then sponged Rich Cocoa and Potter's Clay again.
I used the grass. from Warm With Love. I inked with Rich Cocoa, but then stamped off on scratch paper before stamping on the scene, to make the image lighter.
I put the mask back and stamped the grass a few more times.
I decided to make the background a little darker and sponged more Rich Cocoa.
Then I stamped the water grass, from Follow Your Dreams, using Rich Cocoa.
I used E33, E35 and an opaque white gel pen to add some ripples and shadows to the water.
I layered with Pure Luxury Chocolate Brown & Pumpkin Spice and used Tan Leather for the card base. I used my Scor-buddy to add some decorative scoring to the Pumpkin Spice layer.
