I started with a full 8.5 by 11 inch sheet of card stock, then scored on the narrow side at 1.5 inches and 5 inches.
Rotate the card stock and score at 1.5 inches, 5 inches, 6.5 inches and 10 inches.
Fold and crease on score lines and make the cuts shown above. Remove sections as indicated.
I slid the Spellbinders Big Blossom die over the protruding sections, all the way down. This is different from yesterday's tutorial, where I only slid the die down to one inch above the score line. The big blossom die fit perfectly over the card stock for me, but if it is a little snug, just trim it slightly until it slides on.
I used my Grand Calibur machine to cut the bag tabs. I did trim a bit off the 8.5 inch side to make it a little easier to fit in the Grand Calubur. (you can fit a full sheet in the GC if you remove the feed tray, otherwise you can just time a tiny amount from the side of your cardstock) It's so cool to be able to fit a big template inside the GC. I wouldn't have been able to do this with my Cuttlebug.
I added some Score-tape to the side tab, then adhered.
Folded the bottom flaps in and added Score-tape there, too. Then adhered.
For the front, I stamped the mushroom image, from Little Critters, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics, starting with YG03 for the green foliage.
Added YG95 to shade.
Filled in the mushrooms with E53.
Added E31 to shade the stem and underside.
More shading with W3.
On the tops, added E19.
Added E17.
Then added E15.
Sponged Memento Desert Sand on the background.
Sponged Memento Rich Cocoa.
Sponged Memento Cantaloupe.
For the frog, I started with YG25.
Added YG23.
Filled in with YG21.
Added some shading with G07 and used R05 on the eyes. I colored the mushroom the same as the others and cut out the image.
I adhered the frog image to the background, using Pop Dots and layered with Pure Luxury Fresh Asparagus. The bag base is Pure Luxury Tan Leather. I have several more tutorials planned using this technique with the Spellbinders dies and GC to make boxes and bags, so stayed tuned over the next month or so.
It's VSN weekend at SCS starting Friday! I'll be hosting a challenge on Saturday.
