I hope you all had a great weekend! It's another Monday morning and another sketch challenge at StampTV. I used images from The Giving Tree on my card.
Here is look at this week's sketch. I hope you get a chance to play along. One random winner will get a pick a stamp set of their choice from Gina K Designs.
To start, I cut a piece of Pure Luxury white card stock, using my rectangle Nestabilities. Then I sponged Memento Summer Sky ink, while still in the die.
\
Then I sponged lightly with Memento Danube Blue.
I removed the die, then used sticky notes to mask the border. Then I stamped the tree using Memento Rich Cocoa ink.
Next, I stamped the leaves. First, I inked them up using Memento New Sprout. Then I used the rock 'n roll technique to add some Memento Bamboo Leaves to the image. I just placed the stamp against the ink pad, so that just the edge of the image was getting inked. Then I rolled it around letting just the edge of the image touch the ink pad. Then I stamped the leaf image. I repeated the process several times to add leaves to all the branches.
I stamped the birdhouse on another piece of cardstock and colored with Copics, starting with E00 all over.
Added E59.
Added E57.
Then used E51 to blend and soften.
I used E49 on the roof, opening and peg. After coloring, I cut out the image.
I adhered the birdhouse to the background, then stamped the bird. I used Memento Summer Sky and Danube Blue and once again used the rock 'n roll techique to get some shading on the bird.
I layered with Pure Luxury Kraft and Chocolate Brown. After cutting the diagonal line on the Kraft layer, I sponged Memento Rich Cocoa along the edges.
I want to thank Cheryl Farmhill for giving me a blog award. Thanks, Cheryl!
