Cattails and Sailboat

Hello, Stampers! Today's card will be going out to a young man, who was injured in a car accident recently, so I wanted to make a card that was both masculine, yet peaceful and uplifting.

To start, I masked off the top where I wanted the sky, using a sticky note. Then I sponged Memento Summer Sky.

Sponged Memento Danube Blue.

Then I sponged Memento Bamboo Leaves, from the bottom.

Sponged Memento Rich Cocoa.

I removed the mask and sponged Memento Summer Sky from the top edge.

Then sponged Memento Danube Blue.

I stamped the cattails, from Life is Good, twice, using Memento Tuxedo Black.

I stamped the wavy grass, from Fanciful Fall, several times, using Memento Bamboo Leaves.

Stamped the sailboat, from Aloha, using Memento Tuxedo Black.

I added some ripples using an opaque white gel pen and shadow to the boat, using my C3 Copic marker.

I layered with Pure Luxury In The Navy and used a Baby Boy Blue card base.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a fantastic day!

  17. Beautiful card, Theresa! I noticed you used three different stamps sets for this card. It would be nice if you design a set with all the stamps in it that you need to create a card like this. Sailboats, cattails, grass, flowers, maybe even wave marks! Just an idea!!

  19. All of the images from your stamp sets are not only wonderful, but brilliantly done. So many stamp sets from other artists have good images, but an odd one that is not in perspective and it keeps me from buying them as it captures my attention and blocks creativity because I can't stop thinking about how the artist could have done so well on most of the set and totally flubbed on one image. LOL Your sets on the other hand are in perfect perspective and designed to meld together for a lovely photo like card or project and so easy to interchange within a project. I've got to get my hands on some! Best Wishes and quick healing to the young man in the car accident.
