Happy Sunday! I hope you are all enjoying your weekend. I got a chance to play along with the Featured Stamper Challenge at SCS. This week's stamper is Sarah (aka CriminalGrace). I chose this card for inspiration. Stampers are to change at least 2 things on their card. I changed...
Stamped sentiment directly on card base instead of tag.
Sponged the water only partway across the card base.
Left off the glitter and ribbon.
I stamped the flamingo, from Aloha (GKD), on a Pure Luxury White card base and used Copics to color. I started with R85.
Added R83.
Filled in most of the way with R81, then used my blender pen to soften the edges of the highlights.
I wanted the shadow to be just a bit darker, so I added RV25.
Filled in the beak and legs with E00.
Added some shading to the beak and legs with YR02
Next I colored over the entire image with a Versa Mark pen and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. The clear Versa Mark ink gives the embossing powder something to stick to.
After embossing, I used stick notes to mask off the top part of the card and sponged Memento Bahama Blue ink.
I added some faint ripples to the water with B00 and used my blender pen to blur them out a bit.
Next I stamped the sentiment on the left side and that was it! Very simple today. :)
I hope you all enjoy the remaining bit of your weekend. I'll be back tomorrow with my sample for the next STV sketch challenge. Have a great day!
Very Cute!
