Gina K Designs Previews Day 1

Hello! It's time for previews of the new Gina K Designs stamp sets! Today we are previewing two gorgeous new sets and sharing some very exciting news. First up is Melanie Muenchinger's new stamp set, Buds and Vases. Aren't those flowers gorgeous! So fun to color. I have the step by step photos for this card posted below.

Next up is a follow up to Nina Bracket's fabulous Lovely Labels stamp set. This one is Lovely Labels 2 and works perfectly with some of the gorgeous new Spellbinders Labels Die sets. Isn't that frame stunning and so very elegant! I used the frame and sentiment from Lovely Labels 2 and added a few flowers in the center from Faithful Florals. I'll share the step by step photos from this card next week.

For more samples with tonight's new stamp sets, please visit these participating designer's blog links:
Both stamps sets will be available from Gina K Designs, this Thursday, after 10pm Central. Be sure to swing by the release party at StampTV on Thursday, from 7 to 10pm for some fun chatting, challenges and contests, all full stamp set reveals.

To make the Buds and Vases card, I first stamped the flower image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, then colored with Copics. I started with Y17 in the centers of the flowers.

Added V09.

Blended out from there with V06, then added V06 to the outside edges, too.

Blended out from both directions with V01.

Then filled in with V000.

For the leaves, I started by filling in with YG21.

Added shading with YG95, then blended with YG21.

Deepened the shading a bit with YG99, then blended with YG21 again.

After coloring, I cut out the image. I colored and cut out a second image, trimming away the third flower on that one.

I used oval Nestabilities to cut some white card stock, then sponged with Memento New Sprout and Bamboo Leaves, while still in the die.

For the larger background panel, I sponged Grape Jelly on white card stock and then embossed with my Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder.

I layered with Pure Luxury Black Onyx and used a Vibrant Purple card base. The sentiment is also from Buds and Vases and the flowers are adhered using Pop Dots.

Thanks for stopping by. I'll be back tomorrow with more previews, including a peek at my new set. Did you guess which one it was from Gina's snippets? I hope you have a great day!
