Gina K Previews - Day 4

Hey, it's the final day of previews for the new Gina K Designs release. All the new stamp sets will be available from the online store after 10pm Central on Thursday.  Today we are showing two more stamp sets. The first is Asela Hopkins' latest, called, Winter Wings. I love the realistically drawn birds in this set! More details for this card below.

Next, is the new Free With Three stamp set, from Gina K, called Labeled With Love. This is another set that coordinated with Spellbinders Labels and includes perfectly sized sentiments for inside. How fun and it's free with the purchase of any three stamp sets, starting when the new sets go live on Thursday night! I paired the framed sentiment, from Labeled With Love, with the flower stem from Fanciful Fall.

I hope you can come to our release party tonight (Thursday September 30.)  We'll have contest questions, challenges, chatter, and lots of samples with the new stamp sets to share during the party. Please make plans to join us from 7-10 central on StampTV!

I colored the bird with Copics, starting with C1.

Added N1.

Added N3.

Added N5.

Started with B41 on the blue part.

Added B21.

Added B24.

Then added B26. I used N5 on the beak.

Used R05 on the berries, YG95 on the leaves and just a quick swipe of E35 along the branch for a pop of color.

I masked off the bird to protect it from my sponging, then sponged Memento Cantaloupe ink. Sometimes I mask and other times I don't depending on how dark I've colored the image and if I think the color I'm sponging will affect the coloring of the image. In this case, the blue is fairly light and sponging yellow over it probably would have turned my bluejay into a greenjay.

Then I sponged a little Memento Desert Sand.

Then I just stamped the sentiment off to the side and that was it. A very simple card, but I really like how it turned out.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a great day!

Gina K Previews - Day 3

Hello! It's the third day of previews for the new Gina K Designs release and today we are showing peeks at two more stamp sets. This month Rupa Shevde gives us this elegant set of images all having to do with Tea Time. I adore the stacked tea cups and beautifully flourished teapot. More details from this card below.

Next is the most adorable farm set from Gina K. This set is called Funny Farm and you are going to fall in love with these images! I'll share the step by step photos from this card, later next week, but for now...

To make the teapot card, I colored with Copics, starting with YG21.

Added YG23.

Added YG25.

Added YG09.

Used N1 on the lid and handle.

Added shading with N5.

I colored three of the teacups the same as the teapot and then used B00, G02 and B04 on the other two cups. Then I cut out both images.

I cut a rectangle with Nestabiltities and then sponged Memento Bahama Blue while still in the die.

I layered with a Pure Luxury Black Onyx and adhered to a Pure Luxury Heavy Base Weight White card base. After stamping the sentiment, I added some score lines with my Scor-buddy.

Thanks for visiting. We have one more day of previews and then the party on Thursday evening. Have a great day!

Gina K Previews - Day 2

Hi all. Today we are sharing two new stamp sets for Gina K Designs. First up is my new set, Fanciful Fall. I drew this set to work for Halloween/Fall, but kept most of the images stylized to work for any season.

Next, is a new set from Tami Mayberry, called So Groovy. You'll love the retro hip images and fun greetings in this set! I'll repost this card next week and show you how I colored the van and made that rainbow background.

To make the first card, I sponged Memento Cantaloupe ink on my background, starting from the bottom and working my way up about 2/3 the way.

I cut a circle from scratch paper and adhered it to the background to mask off a moon shape. Then I sponged Memento Tangelo.

Next, I sponged Memento Angel Pink as a transition color between the yellow and purple.

Sponged Memento Lulu Lavender from the top until it met the pink.

Sponged Memento Grape Jelly.

Then I sponged Memento Tuxedo Black, very lightly around the edges.

Removed the mask and stamped the tree with Stazon Black.

Next, I inked up the wavy grass with Memento Potter's Clay, stamping off on scratch paper once before stamping on the background. Then I repeated several times to fill the bottom.

I stamped the sentiment with black, then layered with Pure Luxury Black Onyx and Vibrant Purple. The card base is Sweet Mango.

Thanks for stopping by. I'll be back tomorrow with more previews. Have a wonderful day!

Gina K Designs Previews Day 1

Hello! It's time for previews of the new Gina K Designs stamp sets! Today we are previewing two gorgeous new sets and sharing some very exciting news. First up is Melanie Muenchinger's new stamp set, Buds and Vases. Aren't those flowers gorgeous! So fun to color. I have the step by step photos for this card posted below.

Next up is a follow up to Nina Bracket's fabulous Lovely Labels stamp set. This one is Lovely Labels 2 and works perfectly with some of the gorgeous new Spellbinders Labels Die sets. Isn't that frame stunning and so very elegant! I used the frame and sentiment from Lovely Labels 2 and added a few flowers in the center from Faithful Florals. I'll share the step by step photos from this card next week.

For more samples with tonight's new stamp sets, please visit these participating designer's blog links:
Both stamps sets will be available from Gina K Designs, this Thursday, after 10pm Central. Be sure to swing by the release party at StampTV on Thursday, from 7 to 10pm for some fun chatting, challenges and contests, all full stamp set reveals.

To make the Buds and Vases card, I first stamped the flower image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, then colored with Copics. I started with Y17 in the centers of the flowers.

Added V09.

Blended out from there with V06, then added V06 to the outside edges, too.

Blended out from both directions with V01.

Then filled in with V000.

For the leaves, I started by filling in with YG21.

Added shading with YG95, then blended with YG21.

Deepened the shading a bit with YG99, then blended with YG21 again.

After coloring, I cut out the image. I colored and cut out a second image, trimming away the third flower on that one.

I used oval Nestabilities to cut some white card stock, then sponged with Memento New Sprout and Bamboo Leaves, while still in the die.

For the larger background panel, I sponged Grape Jelly on white card stock and then embossed with my Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder.

I layered with Pure Luxury Black Onyx and used a Vibrant Purple card base. The sentiment is also from Buds and Vases and the flowers are adhered using Pop Dots.

Thanks for stopping by. I'll be back tomorrow with more previews, including a peek at my new set. Did you guess which one it was from Gina's snippets? I hope you have a great day!
