Hey there, stampers! I took a long weekend, spending the beginning with some friends near Sacramento, then came home and did a little golfing and finished up with a blues concert down in Chico last night. I made this card yesterday, but am just now finding the time to write up my post.
I decided to play along with the Jugs challenge again and continued with the wild west theme. I also followed along with the CPS sketch this week.
I stamped the saddle, from Out West, and colored with Copics, starting with E37.
Added E35.
Filled in most of the way with E33. Then I used my blender pen to soften the highlights by pulling some color onto those areas.
I used E59 to color the stirrups and also to add some deeper shading to the rest of the saddle.
For the underside of the saddle, I used E51 and E53, then used C3 on some of the metal accents. After coloring, I cut out the image.
I cut a piece of Pure Luxury Ivory, then sponged some Memento Potter's Clay.
Sponged some Memento Rich Cocoa.
I adhered the saddle with Pop Dots and layered with Pure Luxury Chocolate Brown and some nifty cork paper that my sister gave me. The card base is Kraft and those horizontal bands are Chocolate Brown scraps.
Thanks for visiting. I hope your day is fun!
Gorgeous! The clean lines are fabulous and the saddle is so realistic.
