Hi there! Today I am continuing the thank you challenge hostess theme with a card for Tina Gilliland, our retiring Color Challenge Hostess. I didn't actually follow along on one of the challenges for this card, because I really wanted to make a monochromatic purple card for Tina. (I've noticed she has a thing for purple)
I started by sponging lightly with Memento Lulu Lavender. This was mainly so the crescent moon wouldn't be too white.
Then I placed a circle mask for the moon and masked off the foreground. I sponged more Lulu Lavender ink.
Then sponged Memento Grape Jelly.
Next, I removed the circle mask and used the Post-it Note that I had punched the circle from and to mask off around the circle. I shifted the mask over a bit to leave a small crescent shape.
Then I sponged Grape Jelly in the circle.
I tore another mask like the bottom and masked off the top, leaving a small horizon of mountains and sponged Grape Jelly.
Then sponged Memento Paris Dusk.
I removed all the masks and stamped the trees, from Life is Good, with Memento Grape Jelly. For the evergreen trees, I used the tree lined bank and inked up the top portion of the stamp only, leaving the reflection un-inked.
Added some shadows with my BV11 Copic marker.
Sponged a little Lulu Lavender in the foreground.
Stamped a branch, from Hope Grows, repeatedly with Memento Grape Jelly.
Then I stamped some grass, from Hang In There, with Lulu Lavender, and added some clouds using my BV11 Copic.
Added some highlights and shading to the two bare trees, using my white gel pen and Paris Dusk Memento Marker.
I layered the image panel with Pure Luxury Black Onyx and used a Vibrant Purple card base.
Thanks for dropping by. I hope you have a great day!
