Gina K Preview - Welcome Home and Sew Pretty

Hello! It's the third day of previews for the new Gina K Designs release. Today we are peeking two more new stamp sets. First up is Rupa Shevde's latest set, Welcome Home. I love the adorable images in this new set!

Next is this awesome retro set from Asela Hopkins, called Sew Pretty. These retro images are so fun!

I colored the image with Copics and cut it out. The background is sponged and stamped. I'll post the step by step photos for this card, later this week or next, but for now, how about some more inspiration?

Designers Participating in Previews tonight:

The Release Party is this Thursday, April 22 on StampTV. We would LOVE to have you join us for the fun!

There will be challenges, contest questions, chatter, as well as tons of samples from the Design Team members from 7-10 (central time) all leading to the new products being available in GinaK's online store at 10pm.

And now the details for my Home Sweet Home card...

To start, I stamped two of the three houses from the row of houses, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

Using Copics to color, I started with E53 on one house.

Filled in most of the way with E51, leaving small highlights. I used the blender pen to smooth out the transition to white.

On the second house, I started with B95.

Filled in most of the way with B21, leaving small highlights. I used the blender pen to smooth out the transition to white.

On the roofs, I started with N7.

Added N5.

Filled in with N1.

For the green door, I used G24 and G28. For the red door, I used R89, and R24, the went over the red with E33. For the windows I used Y23.

Used E57 for the tree trunks, G24 and YG09 on the tree foliage.

I cut masks from scratch paper and adhered with re-positionable tape.

I cut another mask in a gentle wavy line to cover the sky, and then sponged Memento New Sprout ink.

Sponged Memento Bamboo Leaves.

Placed a mask over the ground and sponged Memento Summer Sky for the sky.

Sponged Memento Danube Blue.

I layered with Pure Luxury Black Onyx and used a Sweet Corn cardbase. I cut Green Apple and Black Onyx using my scallop square Nestabilities.

Thank you for visiting. I'll be back tomorrow with more previews. Have a great day!
