Gina K Preview - Gifts From the See and Oh Boy!

Hello! It's preview time for Gina K Designs! First up is Melanie Muenchinger's latest set, Gifts From the Sea. You are going to love this one. It is packed with fabulously drawn sea shells in a variety of sizes, perfect for cardmakers and scrapbookers. Having grown up on the coast, I was so excited to see these images.

All of the images in this first card are from Gifts From the Sea. They were colored with Copics and cut out. There is also a peek at the gorgeous new Pure Luxury color, Turquoise Sea.

Next up is an adorable new set from Tami Mayberry, called Oh Boy! These images are so cute and perfect for coloring or paper piecing. This set will be wonderful for making cards and scrapbook pages for little boys, but also for big boys with the right color choices.

I used Copics to color my images and used my Spellbinders Rectangle Nestabilities to emboss a border. The sentiment is also from Oh Boy!

Designers Participating in previewing tonight:

The Release Party is this Thursday, April 22 on StampTV. There will be challenges, contest questions, chatter, as well as tons of samples from the Design Team members from 7-10 (central time) all leading to the new products being available in GinaK's online store at 10pm. We'd love to have you join us for our monthly party!

And now, here are a few details from making my Gifts From the Sea card...

For the large sand dollar, I stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copics, starting with E33

Blended out from there with E53.

Filled in with E51.

Aded E35 to shade in the holes.

For the clam shell, I started with YR02.

Then I went over the first color with RV23 to pink it up a bit.

Filled in all over with YR000

Added Y21 on either side and then used E35 for some deeper shading along the edges.

For the large starfish, I started with R89.

Added R22.

Filled in with YR000.

I colored with smaller starfish the same way as the sand dollar, then I cut out all the images.

For the background, I cut a piece of Pure Luxury White, with my Labels 1 Nestabilities, then sponged with Memento Bahama Blue, while still in the die.

I layered with Pure Luxury Kraft and also used it for the cardbase. All the images were adhered with Pop Dots for a dimensional effect.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful day!
