Winged Wishes

Hello stampers! Today I played along with the featured stamper challenge at SCS. I chose this beautiful card by Karen Barber for my inspiration. Participants are to change at least two things. I changed...

Different stamps
Added popped up image
Different card shape

I used Copic markers to color the moth from Picture It! (part of the new StampTV kit), starting with YR07 around the wing edges and body.

Blended in from there with Y17.

Added Y23.

Added Y21, leaving just a few highlights un-colored.

I used my blender pen to soften the highlights and N5 & N7 for the body.

I decided the moth was too bright, so I added some E37 and YR12 around the edges.

For the background, I sponged Memento Cantaloupe. Had a big flub in the middle, but I thought I could cover it up, so I kept going.

Sponged Memento Angel Pink.

Sponged Memento Tangelo.

Stamped the cattails from Life is Good, using Memento Tuxedo Black.

Stamped the branch from Picture It!, using Memento Cantaloupe ink, all around the edges.

Stamped around the edges with an SU Itty Bitty Backgrounds stamp, inked with Memento Potter's Clay.

I cut out the butterfly and adhered it with Pop Dots, added the silhouette butterflies, from Purrr-fectly Delightful, inked with Memento Tangelo. The sentiment was cut out with Nestibilities Ovals and sponged with Memento Cantaloupe, while still in the die.

I layered with Pure Luxury Black Onyx and Sweet Corn cardstock. The cardbase is Pure Luxury Pumpkin Spice.

Be sure to link up any of your Purrr-fectly Delightful, Square Pegs or Happy Hearts projects on Gina K's blog for a chance to win a stamp set of your choice from that illustrator. More blog hops this coming week featuring Nina and Rupa's stamp sets!

Thanks for coming by today. Have a happy Sunday!
