Christmas Delivery

This is very similar to an Autumn card I made a few weeks ago. I liked how it came out, so I decided to do a Christmas version. I used A Very Merry Christmas and Special Delivery and followed the color challenge on SCS.

My Bow Easy came in the mail today and this was the first bow I tried using it. I looped it twice for a double bow. I love how easy it is to make perfect bows this way. Now Gina has stocked a larger Bow Easy, but I'm afraid they'll be sold out before I get to order mine. I really want this one too, because it will be perfect for making bows to decorate for the holidays and for wrapping presents. I like to get those big spools of ribbon at Costco and use those instead of the regular bows you can buy in a bag. The ribbon is usually around $7 or $8 dollars, I think, for 50 yards, which is a steal IMO. I'm thinking I'll be able to make some rockin' bows for my presents this year!

To make my card, I started by stamping the postage stamp outline from Special Delivery and then used Post-it Notes to mask off the sides before stamping the holly flourish from A Very Merry Christmas.

I stamped the bell and the snowflakes the same way, using the mask.

The images were all colored with Copic markers. I used G24 and G28 for the greens on the holly and my Lady Bug Red Memento marker for the berries.

For the snowflakes I used B21 and BV11.

I colored the bell with Y21, Y23, Y17 and YR14.

For the ribbon I used R22, R24 and R46.

After coloring, I used Post-it Notes again, to mask off a border around each image and then sponged lightly with Certainly Celery ink.

I trimmed around each image and then layered with Chocolate Kiss and Rocket red. The green layer (Fresh Asparagus) was sponged with Old Olive ink and then dry embossed with my Forest Branches Cuttlebug folder. Additional layers were Pure Luxury White and Chocolate Kiss on a Rocket Red cardbase.

Thank you for visiting. I hope your day is wonderful!
