Western Mosaic

For my project today, I used the large background stamp from Inspiration Mosaic and added images from Out West, to make a masculine card. I just love how Melanie's new stamp works with almost any stamps. It has me wanting to pull out all my old stamp sets and see how they will look.

To make my card, I started with a piece of Pure Luxury White cardstock, cut slightly larger than the large background stamp from Inspiration Mosaic. Then I sponged with So Saffron ink.

Then sponged around the outside edges with Creamy Caramel ink. (SU)

Next I stamped the Mosaic on my cardstock and trimmed the edges.

Used a post-it note to mask off the two main panels, so I could do a bit more sponging around those.

Used a multi-liner to add a drop shadow on the left and bottom of the two larger panels.

I used the crackle stamp from Bold Flowers to stamp in the corners. I tore a post-it note to mask the inside corners, so the stamp wouldn't leave straight lines when I stamped and used Creamy Caramel ink.

For the horse and boots, I used Copic markers E57, E31, E33, E35, E37 and blender pen, and then cut them out.

I layered with a piece of Pure Luxury Chocolate Kiss and a Pumpkin Spice cardbase, added some piercing and large eyelets.

Thank you for stopping by. Have yourself a great day!

  1. I love the crackling around the edges and big eyelets! it's funny, when i as trying to "test" my image before we made the plate and got the rubber, your Out West set was the first one I used to stamp into the spaces to test proportion and layout! :) I'll share a real version of that soon! great job!!! love the peekign horse head!
