Good morning! Today's card is one I made for a challenge on the Fourishes blog to make an easy breezy 10 minute card. Yikes! I almost passed on this challenge, but then I decided to give it a try. I had it all planned out in my head before I started, and hopefully planning didn't count as part of our 10 minutes, because I went way over that, just thinking about this challenge. LOL.
I decided to pick out a big image and use only a few Copic colors, to cut down on coloring time and, alas, no sponging. Here are the details...
I started by coloring the big flower from Siberian Iris with R20. You can see I was pretty careless with my coloring by all the streaks. LOL
Then I put YR02 in the centers and edges of the petals.
Quickly blended with R20 and then used my coloress blender to create some highlights.
For the greenery, I used YG03, YG93 and YG95.
To assemble the card, I cut out the image. I didn't have time to cut out the negative spaces in the greenery, so I just colored it in. The top layers were cut with nestabilities. I used my Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder on the top layer.
For the lower layers, I used my Cuttlebug folder, Perfectly Paisley and some of Emily Giovanni's digital paper. The white layers are Pure Luxury White and the pink is SU Regal Rose.
Whew! That was a tough challenge. My heat was pounding trying to work that fast. Now I need a nap.
Thanks for visiting. Have a great day!
