Sketchy Owl

Hello! I hope you all had a wonderful Easter. I just got home from visiting with my sister and her family. We had a great time and stamped happily all weekend, although I don't have many finished projects to show for it. I guess we spend more time chatting than actually stamping. LOL.

I did make this card using Cat's card sketch from the weekly sketch challenge on stampTV. There are still a few more days to play along and a random chance to win a free set of Gina K Designs stamps.

This is my week to host the STV color challenge, with another chance to win a set of GKD stamps. The colors this week are yellow and orange. I hope you'll play along! (I still have a ton of photos to upload and edit for my color challenge sample, so I will post that on my blog later this week)

I used Owl Always Love You and Tropical Flowers on this card. The image is colored with Copic markers. The designer paper is from the Bittersweet Basic Grey collection. If anyone wants the step by step photos showing which Copic markers I used, just let me know and I will come back and edit the post.

The background layers were all sponged with So Saffron and Apricot Appeal and the branches were stamped with Creamy Caramel. The cardbase is Apricot Appeal.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a great day!

Edited to add...

Ok, I am back with those Copic photos I promised.

I used E53, E55, E35 and E37 to color the owl. I think I used E31 on the beak and talons.

For the branch and nest I used E31, E35 and E55.

Y23 and YR12 for the flowers.

For the leaves I used YG03, YG05 and YG93.

Sorry for the delay on getting those photos loaded!
